A West Coast kid from Orange Country, California, Val made the cross country trek to Richmond in 2020 where she has found a second home at HYB.

Val happened upon the studio while on her way to get a smoothie and thought it might be the perfect place to find community in a new city- it was! You’re likely to find Val from Cal either in the studio in a class or behind the front desk on any given day.

She just completed her RYT 200 at HYB and can’t wait to teach you.

If you can’t find Val at the studio, she’s either running down Monument Avenue or binge-watching TV with her future husband and scrappy dog, Jojo.
