Heather Chumley-Jones is a native of the Richmond area. She loves fitness and spends her weekends hiking, biking, and camping with her family. She is an animal advocate and has more rescue animals than she would like to admit. She is a Physical Therapist, Yoga Teacher, and Certified Professional Yoga Therapist. She was introduced to yoga as a student at VCU in and immediately fell in love with the practice.
After her daughter was born self care became even more important and Heather enrolled in Yoga Teacher Training in 2009. This was the beginning of a career change and a new path of study. The practice was so transformative to her life that she had to share it in both her professional career and in the studio. Her knowledge of Anatomy and movement make alignment an important focus of each class. Her 20 year yoga journey has taken her many places. She has had the opportunity to learn from some the best teachers of Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Power Yoga. Her journey has now brought her back to Richmond and back to her roots in Power Yoga. She is very excited to share her experiences at the Hot Yoga Barre.
