Allyson | Barre

Allyson started her journey into group fitness instruction in 2013 when she and her family relocated to RVA from Philadelphia for her husband’s job. She put her own career on hold to stay home with her children but wanted something more for herself. She started as an instructor for Fit4Mom teaching Stroller Strides and Body Back and found a love for helping women reach their personal fitness goals. She then received a Personal Training Certification from AAA as well as a barre certification from Beyond Barre. Allyson has taught varying boot camp classes, barre classes and Tabata at different locations in Midlothian and the Near West End. She currently works for a local medical exercise program helping make exercise more accessible for those who don’t know how to start.
Always looking for a new challenge, Allyson decided to take the HYB barre certification this past summer and quickly fell in love with the added challenge of the heat.

She is always up to try the newest fitness trend and loves that there is so much for the fitness enthusiast in Richmond! She also enjoys running and has run the Richmond Half marathon 4 times. Allyson lives in Midlothian with her husband, 2 young sons and their Yorkie.
