The Hot Yoga Barre values each student and we do our best to create a community where everyone has an amazing experience. To help facilitate a pleasant & welcoming atmosphere in a group setting, we ask that you be mindful of some basic studio etiquette.
Be One With the Mat.
Yep, it’s true we don’t rent mats for hygienic reasons. As an alternative, we provide $12 mats for purchase as well as high quality Lululemon mats. If you are from out of town, we will loan you a mat- just ask!
Sign Up, Show Up
It’s that easy! If you are signed up but can’t make it to class, please remove yourself online at least 4 hours before class starts. There is a $15 fee on unlimited memberships and the loss of the class for drop-ins and class packs for late cancellations and absences. If you are signed up but have a legitimate emergency that prevents you from coming to class, please remove yourself online and send us an email explaining your situation so we can waive the fee. Please read our full cancellation policy here.
The Early Bird
The early bird gets the worm and a spot in class. Make sure to arrive at least 10 minute before class starts. It takes time to get set up plus red lights, traffic and parking issues happen! We lock the front door when class starts; no late arrivals are permitted.
The Minutes Matter
Your spot is reserved until 5 minutes before class starts. If you are not checked in by that time, your spot may be released to someone on the stand-by list.
Upon entering the studio, please make sure to always check in on the iPad and wait for the green "OK” confirmation screen to pop up before walking away. Please. Don’t. Make. Us. Hunt. You. Down.
We know you want to help your friend out, but please ONLY check in yourself.
Line Up, Spot On!
Barre: Line your mat up with the black tape lines beneath the wall mounted barres and place your props to the front/back of the mat (not the side).
Yoga: Line the top center of your mat up to a white dot.
Unless you have an emergency, please stay in the heated studio for the entire class. It’s disruptive to the ZEN when people are coming and going. We also want to keep the HEAT in for the best experience!
If you have an EMERGENCY and need to leave early, please set up near the door, let the instructor know beforehand, and slip out quietly before final cool down or savasana. Make sure to clean your equipment at the storage room cleaning station.
The Waiting Room
If you are on the waitlist, you’ll receive an email at least 4 hours prior to class start time if you have been moved from the waitlist to the class roster. If you’re waitlisted for an early morning class and don’t get up early enough to check to see if you go into class, please remove yourself from the waitlist the night before. Please see the policies page for further information.
The Power of Touch
We are a hands-on studio and all instructors are trained to assist and adjust throughout class. Feel free to politely decline the opportunity to be assisted.
Be a Barefoot Babe or Bob
Gandhi says, “I will not let anyone walk through my mind with their dirty feet.” We say, “I will not let anyone walk through my studio with dirty feet.” Please kindly leave all shoes outside the practice room.
Hydration and Yummies
Please hydrate before class. You are welcome to bring a capped water bottle with you, but we ask that you do not bring cups of water or other beverages. The instructor moves throughout the room during class and spilling is a disruption to the whole class. Please save your yummies for the car. There is NO food allowed in the studio.
There is just no way to sugarcoat it… please wear your deodorant, please clean up after yourself, and please spray and wipe down any props before returning them to the storage area. We provide supplies for you to clean equipment after class. If you have concerns, please feel free to bring your own towel or clean the equipment prior to using it as well as after.
If you’re feeling funky, then let’s keep the gunk at home so we can all be well!
We understand you’re popular, but out of respect for others, please silence all devices and leave them in the cubbies.
Sweat is Fat Crying.
No one wants to step in a puddle of tears, so please use a towel to soak it up before you go.
Spic and Span
Please ensure showering is brief after class to prevent others from waiting and to allow the teacher to clean up the studio before closing up. Please use only 1 towel for showers. Bathroom towels are for shower use only.
The studio closes 15 minutes after class ends unless there is a class immediately following. Early morning classes allow 30 minutes after class.
